About Hacoco Advisory

Energy trade fails on process, not on price.

Hacoco Advisory is a disciplined sourcing and trade facilitation desk for physical crude and refined product mandates, with selective coverage across food grains, fertilizers and pesticides.

Why The Desk Exists

Serious counterparties should not lose time to noise.

Physical commodity markets attract mandates without authority, recycled offers, incomplete requirements and payment structures that no issuing or receiving bank would support. The damage is not limited to a failed transaction. Time, credibility and access are lost with it.

Hacoco begins by qualifying the requirement, identifying the client's role, testing counterparty capability and framing a procedure that can withstand documentary, banking and compliance review.

Desk Discipline

Four decisions before a serious introduction.

Price matters, but it becomes actionable only after product, authority, procedure and payment path make commercial sense.

01

Define the requirement

Product specification, volume, frequency, delivery basis, route, timeline and client role are captured in one qualified brief.

02

Test the counterparty

Corporate identity, mandate authority, commercial capability and compliance position are reviewed before introduction.

03

Align the documents

Commercial documents should tell the same story on product, volume, route, price basis, inspection and transaction sequence.

04

Fit the payment path

The proposed LC, SBLC or alternative instrument must fit the agreed procedure and remain subject to review by the parties and their banks.

Operating Position

The commercial role is explicit from the start.

Primary model

Sourcing and trade facilitation

For crude oil, refined products, fertilizers, pesticides and other complex mandates, Hacoco qualifies the requirement, sources suitable counterparties and supports transaction progression. The buyer and seller contract directly, and Hacoco does not take title.

By written agreement

Principal trading

Hacoco may act as principal for selected food-grain transactions or another expressly accepted trade. Principal status is never implied and applies only where agreed in writing before the transaction progresses.

Compliance Context

Facilitation does not dilute independent responsibility.

Transactions remain subject to KYC, AML, sanctions, destination and end-user controls, applicable Incoterms, banking rules, maritime and environmental requirements, contract, due diligence and performance by the parties. Each counterparty remains responsible for its own legal, financial, technical, sanctions and compliance review.

Director-Led

Accountability sits with the people running the desk.

Engagement volume is controlled so qualified mandates can receive direct senior review from requirement framing through the next credible transaction step.
